Limited water resource and heavy environmental pollution are becoming key restrictions for the development of the society and economy all over the world. However, most of the current water systems for water intake, utilization, and drainage still follows the "once-through" and "single-use" model.
Requirements of the Water Cycle System
The water cycle system will be an effective and sustainable solution for the global water crisis, which marks the new era of water systems. Planning, design, construction, and operation of a water cycle system require not only technological background but also knowledge and experience across multiple domains and disciplines of natural and social sciences, engineering, economics, politics, law, culture, etc.
Aims of GlobalSWC
Based on the above background and consideration, the Global Symposium on Water Cycle (GlobalSWC) is launched to provide a unique platform for discussion of the current advances relating to the development of a sustainable, multifaceted and multi-level water cycle system. In GlobalSWC, the participants can meet and interact with the most influential minds in water communities, share and exchange ideas and information with water experts worldwide, and network with peer water academics, engineers, and practitioners globally.
